Hi there, I am glad you found your way to my website! I'm Shannin, I'm an interior designer and rendering artist who works with designers to sell their ideas by creating unique hand renderings for their interior and exterior spaces.
One thing you will learn about me is that I love tiny houses so much that I designed my daughter one (see kitchen design proposal here) and will start building it this year. The size of her house is approximately 400 square foot which is a little bigger than I would like to have but it fit her perfect.
When I designed her house, I researched tiny houses to the core! I studied the furniture, the kitchen appliances, the plumbing, the materials, the HVAC, and most of all the storage options. All of this had to be taken into consideration before I implemented it in the design. It had to function and perform well. I have included 5 Inspiring Tiny House Ideas I Used In My Own Design below. Hopefully, they will get you inspired to live in a tiny house.

5 Inspiring Tiny House Ideas I Used In My Own Design: #1 – I looked at this kitchen over and over and being a kitchen and bath designer I came to the conclusion that this layout will work for my daughters’ kitchen. The island provided plenty of space for meal prep and serving. That was important to have since she cooks a lot!

5 Inspiring Tiny House Ideas I Used In My Own Design: #2 – After researching my fingers to death for a ladder for the loft (bed area) I finally decided to keep it simple and make a ladder as you see in this picture. It worked like a champ! However, if you are afraid of heights, then you might want to build stairs instead of a ladder.

5 Inspiring Tiny House Ideas I Used In My Own Design: #3 – Having a place to rest your head at night is important, but in a small house space is limited. Solution to the problem, Build Up! Yes, we added a loft/sleeping area that is big enough for the bed only. Underneath the loft is the kitchen area and the plenum for the loft will provide the proper space for the lighting and HVAC for the kitchen.

5 Inspiring Tiny House Ideas I Used In My Own Design: #4 – Another loft to drool over! As a matter of fact take a look at the link here to see the entire space, so inspiring!
5 Inspiring Tiny House Ideas I Used In My Own Design: #5 – This bathroom is multifunctional as the utility room is included inside the bathroom. We even put a back door in ours to have easy access to the outside.
I will include a post later of the Mi Tiny Casa design plans. In the meantime, I will continue to find tiny house inspiration to share with you.
